Pumpkin Patch 2022

 Pumpkin Patch 2022

Sponsored  by Congress Street UMC, the Pumpkin Patch is an annual fundraiser benefitting local charities. We sell pumpkins, homemade pumpkin sugar cookies and other baked goods, corn stalks, and a variety of other handcrafted items. All proceeds from this year’s patch will go to Civitan, Isaiah 117, and Loving Hearts Animal Shelter.

Hours of Operation:

September 30th – October 31st

Monday – Thursday: 12pm – 6pm

Friday – Sunday: 11am – 7pm

Ways to Help:

Pumpkin Unloading – Wednesday, September 28th @ 4pm

On delivery day, we will need all the help we can get getting those pumpkins off the delivery truck, and we would love for you to join us!  Dinner is on us for all who come and help move pumpkins!

Patch Crew

Our patch is run by volunteers, and we could always use more help! Our volunteers help price pumpkins, answer questions, and welcome people to the patch. Click here to sign up for a shift!  **Please note that cashiers must be trained members of Congress St. UMC.**

Pumpkin Bread

In addition to our pumpkin sugar cookies, we also sell pumpkin bread in the patch! If you’d like to donate some loaves, please contact Kim Kirts at kstwillis@msn.com. Need a recipe? Click here for Mariolis Traeger’s! (If you’ve bought pumpkin bread from the patch in the past, there’s a good chance you bought one of her loaves.)

Events in the Patch:

Charities:

Greater Lafayette Civitan

Civitan is an international community service organization that is dedicated to helping wherever needs arise. They have a special focus on people with disabilities. The Greater Lafayette Civitan Club has hosted events such as the Sweet Heart Karaoke Party,  an evening of karaoke for adults with disabilities. They regularly volunteer with Lafayette Transitional Housing, collect donations for organizations in the area, and work with veterans. For more information about Civitan, click here. Tippecanoe County Isaiah 117 House

Named for Isaiah 1:17 – which says “defend the cause of the fatherless” – Isaiah 117 is an organization that provides a place for children to go while they await a foster care placement. Instead of waiting in a Department of Child Services office building, children are taken to the Isaiah 117 House, which is staffed with compassionate volunteers who provide emotional support and stocked with clean clothing, food, toys, and other necessities. Loving Heart Animal Shelter

Loving Heart Animal Shelter provides a safe place for dogs and cats who have been abandoned or are in need. Their mission is to nurture and heal the animals in their care so that they can be adopted into loving homes. Since opening in 2009, Loving Heart has found permanent homes for over 6,000 cats and dogs. For more information about Loving Heart, click here.
