From Rev. Rachel
We have returned to worship in the sanctuary as of July 5th, 2020. What that means is that congregational members, particularly those who have not been able to watch the service on-line, are welcome to attend regular Sunday worship with some rules we all have to follow for the protection of us all. We will continue to offer our service on the church FaceBook page at this link: Congress Street UMC FaceBook Page
FOR THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF ALL PEOPLE INSIDE THE BUILDING THESE RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED
1. IF YOU ARE SICK OR HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WITH COVID-19, PLEASE RETURN HOME
2. WEAR A MASK
3. WASH HANDS FREQUENTLY
4. REFRAIN FROM SHAKING HANDS OR HUGGING
5. PLEASE STAY 6 FEET APART 6. IN THE SANCTUARY, PLEASE DO NOT CROSS OVER BLUE TAPE
7. AS SOON AS THE SERVICE HAS ENDED, PLEASE LEAVE THE BUILDING
In order to limit the spread of the Covid virus and protect all people from possible infection, particularly the most vulnerable among us, we are asking that everyone wear a mask before entering the building. We will have cloth ones available if you do not have one. Some pews will be closed and physical distancing of at least 6 feet with people not in your immediate family should be followed throughout the entire service, including arriving and leaving the building. We will not have coffee service or refreshments. Offertory plates will be located in the back of the sanctuary. Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the building. One thing that will not change is that worship will continue to be joyful and inspirational.
